如何筹划自己在美国的移民身份？以下介绍几个我们律师事务所2010年6月收到的批准案例，以供读者参考。
对于尚未找到永久性研究职位，并得到雇主支持申请绿卡的中国学生学者，包括F1, OPT 在校博士生，博士后，研究人员，或证刚刚得到美国公司或者大学职位，而雇主尚未同意支持申请EB1B 的中国学生学者，如果符合条件，可以通过EB1A 及EB2NIW 的方式尽早递交绿卡申情。
EB1A 及EB2NIW 不需要有美国雇主支持并提出申请。申请人可以自我提出申请。只需要证明自己在本领域中的研究成就和研究工作。所以这两类申请自由度比较大，再申请期间可以在本专业领域内变换工作，转换雇主。 比较适合工作尚不稳定的绿卡申请人。
