The Position:
Xie Law Offices is looking for a passionate, efficient open source Web Developer to join the firm for website design, development, maintenance, marketing and support.
Job Description/Responsibilities:
The Web Developer will be responsible for designing and maintaining the firm’s websites, including programming, developing, producing and marketing data-driven web applications and web sites using the latest technology solutions and software including a wide variety of open source platforms.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of website development life-cycle and best practices- Familiarity with open source CMS platforms (Joomla!, Drupal, Magento)- Experience with website optimization- Experience with E-commerce a plus- Graphic design skills an extra plus
Qualities:
- Professional, dependable, solid work ethic, detail-oriented, self motivated- Strong communication skills in both English and Chinese- Ability to work independently – Take direction well, but also able to make decisions and take initiatives- Strong time management skills, can meet deadlines consistently- Up-to-date on the latest web technologies- Problem solver and solutions researcher
Required Education:
At least a Bachelor degree in computer science, information systems, business or related discipline
